WHY DO WE CELEBRATE FESTIVALS?

Festivals are celebrated all around the world. They are an important part of human culture and history. But why do we have so many different festivals?

First, many festivals are related to nature and agriculture. They range from the harvest after a year of hard work to the change of seasons. For example, people celebrate to show gratitude for the food they have grown.

Second, some festivals are religious, while others are ceremonies in honour of the dead. These events help people remember their ancestors and pass down their beliefs to the next generation.

Finally, some festivals mark the birth of a famous person or a significant historical event. And if you study festivals carefully, you may be surprised to find that different cultures actually have a lot in common after all. They all bring people together to share joy, food, and traditions.
